Cal. 1498 mechanical ruthenium covered movement, 25 jewels, one minute A frame tourbillon visible through an aperture at 9 o'clock, 18k gold dial covered with ruthenium, eccentric silvered engine-turned hour and minute dial, Arabic numerals, remontoir visible through an aperture at 6 o'clock, 42 hour fan-form power reserve indicator at 12 o'clock, circular water-resistant-type case, sapphire crystal display back secured by six screws, 18k white gold F.P. Journe deployant clasp, case, dial and movement signed

Specialist note

Accompanied by an F.P. Journe Certificate and Warranty dated July 11th, 2003 confirming the watch is number 76 in a limited edition of 99 examples. Further accompanied by a loupe, watch tool, F.P. Journe polishing cloth, F. P. Journe presentation box, and outer packaging.

The Tourbillon Souverain has a special four-arm balance which beats with a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. It is the only wristwatch to be fitted with a remontoire that provides a constant force to the escapement which maintains the isochronisms of the balance oscillations.
