In 2011, Hublot celebrated one of the most legendary football clubs of the 20th century, the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. The present watch is dedicated to commemorating the clubs victory in the Club World Cup which celebrated its 30th anniversary. Founded in 1895, it is the most popular football club in Brazil where in 2007 the Mayor of Rio de Janeiro referred to it as the "red and black nation" in the city's heritage.
Hublot has designed the Flamengo watch in the club colors of red and black and prominently features its legendary emblem on the dial. Its 45 minute register recognizes the period at half time in a football match, and the case back further commemorates the 30th anniversary of the internationally acclaimed club.
