Specialist note
The present timepiece belongs to the rare family of enameled wristwatches. In fact, the dial is defined by the very large purple enamel insert which transfigures the entire aesthetics of the watch, granting to it a very exotic and playful vibe.
An extremely delicate and time-consuming technique, enameling allows for the production of dials of unrivalled beauty, with constantly shifting colors and an incredibly attractive translucent finish which will remain virtually unchanged for centuries. The downside is the high risk of breaking the enamel during the manufacturing process, with the consequence of discarding it and starting over from scratch. As a result, enamel dials are as expensive to produce as they are attractive, and are consequently reserved only for exceptional timepieces.
