Specialist note
This example of reference 6282 is an outstanding find for Rolex connoisseur as it gathers in the same case a number of particular traits which fascinate collectors. First and foremost, the rare and exclusive Cartier signature on the dial together with the expected Cartier number engraved under the lug. Also the unusual textured dial is a very appealing feature, especially when fitted with Explorer-style pink gold numerals and the old-school designation 50m=165 ft. Last, but not least, it has to be noted that the case features the "Brevet" engraving between the lugs at twelve, and the crown is the correct "Brevet" one as well, with the cross under the Rolex logo. It is extremely infrequent to find a vintage Rolex timepiece at this price point with so many attractive features: a rare opportunity for both the new collector and the navigated aficionado.
