Note du spécialiste

‘All my work is based on an idea about the power of ordinary experience. I’m not interested in the idea of transcending that, or of some experience, which goes beyond, above or outside the ordinary. To me, all the truly extraordinary things about the world are contained within ordinary experience and how it is dealt with’
(M. Craig-Martin quoted in Rachel Thomas Interviews Michael Craig-Martin, exh. cat., Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, 2006, p.18).
