Specialist note
Editha Proby was the only daughter of William Proby (d.1739) and Henrietta Cornwall. William Proby held the office of Governor of Fort St. George, Madras. Editha married Sir John Osborne, 7th Bt. (d.1743), son of Nicholas Osborne (d.1714) and Anne Parsons, and died on 19 January 1745.
