APPLIQUES: HELLENISTIC PERIOD, CIRCA LATE 4TH CENTURY B.C.
The appliques each molded in the form of a frontal head of Medusa, the face framed by snaky center-parted locks, with traces of polychrome; together with a Seljuk Bronze Lock, circa 12th century A.D., in the form of a lion with pointed ears, dotted eyes and nostrils, the long lock mechanism serving as the tail, to be inserted into the back of the head
