According to the Archives of Audemars Piguet, the present watch was made in 1996 and sold to Singapore on 25 April 1997. It is part of an exceedingly small series of only three of these Grande Sonnerie watches, including one example in platinum, one in pink gold and this watch in yellow gold. The three models are distinguished by their skeletonised dials and finely engraved cases.

Consigned by a private collector this watch has never been offered in public before. It is furthermore preserved in excellent overall condition.
