Cal. 1170 automatic movement, 48 jewels, central one minute flying tourbillon carriage with top bridge designed as the Omega symbol, silvered engine-turned dial with painted lozenge-shaped numerals under two superimposed rotating concentric sapphire discs with blue lozenge hands, circular case, stepped bezel, downturned fluted lugs, snap on back with crown for setting time, crown at 3 o'clock for winding the movement, 18k gold Omega deployant clasp, case and movement signed

Omega created this model as the world's first self-winding central tourbillon wristwatch in 1994 to celebrate the company's 100th anniversary.

Omega created the world's first self-winding central tourbillon wristwatch in 1994 to celebrate the company's 100th anniversary. Production was limited to 20 examples per year but actual quantities made are thought to be much smaller. The model was available in 18k yellow, white or pink gold and with 18k silvered gold or blue guilloch? dial.

The Omega Central Tourbillon is equipped with, at the time, a completely new designed self-winding calibre 1170 movement and, for the first time, a tourbillon mechanism holding a prominent place in the centre of the watch.
The hour and minute hands are painted on two revolving sapphire discs at the edge of the tourbillon, which itself carries the seconds hand and the Omega symbol.
