BY THE IMPERIAL PORCELAIN FACTORY, ST PETERSBURG, 1780-1790s
Realistically modelled and painted, a standing figure of a man, wearing a black hat, a grey coat with orange collar, carrying a basket of vegetables and holding a knife in his right hand, on a circular shaped naturalistic base, moulded with Russian inscription 'Maimist' at the back of the base, apparently unmarked
8¾ in. (22.3 cm.) high
