BY THE IMPERIAL PORCELAIN FACTORY, ST PETERSBURG, 1780-1790s
Realistically modelled and painted, a standing figure of a man, wearing a orange-red hat, a matching belted tunic and a pale olive long coat, on a circular shaped naturalistic base, moulded with Russian inscription 'Kabardinits' at the back of the base, apparently unmarked; with incised Cyrillic letter
8½ in. (21.6 cm.) high
