With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin, solid case back no. 2'930'578 and gold and wooden setting pin, original fitted presentation box and outer packaging. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1993 and its subsequent sale on 26 April 1993.
Consigned by its first owner, this reference 5040 has never been offered in public before.
Production of reference 5040 was launched in 1992 and ceased in 2007, the majority cased in yellow gold, then in platinum, white gold, and a smaller number available in pink gold. The present example is from the early production of this model.
This model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 295.
