Patek Philippe. A very rare and attractive stainless steel wristwatch

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial, raised steel hour markers, steel hands in 1945 and its subsequent sale on 17 January 1946.

Research has revealed that only four other examples of reference 565 fitted with such dial layout have been offered publicly to date. Consigned by a private collector and fresh to the market the present watch is furthermore distinguished by its very good overall condition. The charismatic dial displays a great shine and the hard enamel scale as raised as the true connoisseur would expect. The case has not been subject to careless polishing, demonstrated by the full proportions.

Reference 565, the first large water-resistant watch featuring a two-piece case with screw back and dust cover, was available with either subsidiary or sweep centre seconds. The timelessly modern design of reference 565 served as inspiration for the creation of the 2006 stainless steel inaugural reference 5565.
