Specialist note

The present watch is a fine example of a "Double-Red" Sea-Dweller, with a dial from the "Mark IV" or "Mk 4" series, characterized by the red color being a light red shade. When closely inspected, the printing appears to be made up of a series of dots, rather than direct brush strokes or application. The two double red lines are also two different sizes, with the second line "Submariner 2000" smaller than the first line "Sea-Dweller". The Rolex coronet also has five clearly defined tips and the large oval at the base is clearly defined as well. The present watch is distinguished by its fine overall good original condition, with the ivory-colored luminous material on the numerals and hands aging uniformly.
