Specialist note

This extremely appealing example of famed ref. 5512 distinguishes itself for the marvelous state of its dial. The beautifully raised luminous markers are untouched, and aged consistently with the hands to a light magnolia hue. This color is the perfect match for the gold color of the logo and the 220m=660ft SUBMARINER designation.
The case as well is in remarkable condition, and allows the true connoisseur to appreciate the increased thickness of the lugs, more relevant compared to previous submariner models, giving the model a much more sporty and masculine look also thanks to the increased size of the case.
Reference 5512 was the top of the line of Rolex waterproof models at the time, and the calibres featured in this watch were, and still are, a marvel of engineering. Their accuracy and durability still regarded with respect even nowadays.
