With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1956 and its subsequent sale on July 27th of the same year.
To the best of our knowledge this watch has never before been offered in public.
The reference 2533 (and the reference 2532, see lot 53 of this sale) replaced the better known reference 565 when it was launched in 1952. With a sweep seconds caliber 27 SC, approximately 400 pieces were made in total during this references production run that ended in 1956.
