signed 'G. Spaend [ ]' (lower right)
on ivory
2.7/8 in. (73 mm.) diam., silver-gilt réverbère frame, the reverse set with blue moiré silk stamped in gold lettering 'Gérard van Spaendonck / Fleurs'; square fitted red leather case, the cover stamped in gilt 'GÉRARD VAN SPAENDONCK / FLEURS', and tooled gilt border, made at the behest of Félix Panhard by L. Houde at 82 rue Bonaparte, Paris.

The celebrated collection of Mr Vincent, Paris, sold en bloc by his only son Prosper Vincent to Félix Panhard, on 2 April 1883 for 210,000 Gold Francs.
