Rare are the opportunities of coming across a reference 1579 in today's market. Launched in 1943, the large case and unusual lugs, also called "spider" lugs because of their resemblance to a spider's legs, make it easily distinguishable from other Patek Philippe chronograph wristwatches. Reference 1579 is today one of the most popular chronograph models from the Patek Philippe vintage era.
