Specialist note

Lady Charlotte Townshend was the daughter of George Townshend, 1st Marquess Townshend and Anne Montgomery. She married, in 1797, George Osborne, 6th Duke of Leeds and she was styled as Duchess of Leeds shortly after her marriage.
