With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with blue dial, applied gold indexes and yellow gold bracelet in 1972 and its subsequent sale on 27 November 1975. The Extract further states that the original movement was replaced by the current movement during a servicing in the Patek Philippe workshops in 1979.

The present watch is from Patek Philippe's celebrated "Golden Ellipse" series, ref. 3586/1, introduced into the market in 1970. The models were available in yellow and white gold, the majority fitted with integral bracelets.
