Cal. 98800 three-quarter plate mechanical movement, 18 jewels, silvered dial, blackened steel moon style hands, engine-turned subsidiary seconds, aperture for moon phases, large circular case, glazed display back secured by eight screws, case, dial and movement signed

Specialist note

With IWC Guarantee card dated December 2011, instructions, handkerchief and fitted black presentation box with metal plaque engraved Portofino Handaufzug, Referenz 5448, 100/500.

According to the Archives of IWC, the vintage line in platinum of Portofino hand-wound watches was made in a limited edition of 500 pieces between 2008 and 2012. The technical watch reference for platinum examples, such as the present watch, is reference 5448-05.
