One of a number of editions dated 1593, with apparently no clear priority established. The present copy comprises 371 printed pages, and according to Brunet the text conforms to that of the 255 page edition. The Satyre Ménipppée was the most famous of the satires written during the Wars of Religion, deriving its name from Menippus, the Syrian-Greek satirist of the 3rd century BC. cf. Brunet V, 143.
