Each shaped square and with incurved angles, on four scroll, shell and cartouche feet, the partly beaded rims applied in the centre with shells flanked with foliate scrolls, the centre with border chased with scrolling foliage, flowers, fish scales and rocaille, the centre chased and engraved with a coat-of-arms within rococo cartouche, each marked on reverse, further engraved with scratchweight '44=15' and '44=19'

The arms are those of Jodrell impaling Vanderplank, for Gilbert Jodrell (c.1714-1772) and his second wife Anne, daughter of Samuel Vanderplank, whom he married on 28 June 1747. Gilbert Jodrell was the second son of Paul Jodrell Esq., of Duffield, Derbyshire. He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in February 1730 where his father was Master of the Bench. (2)
