Specialist note

In the 1970's Rolex started to develop its first quartz movements; in 1977, Rolex introduced the Datejust and Day-Date Oysterquartz models, both fitted with inhouse movements.

The Oysterquartz Day-Date reference 19018 has been produced in a large variety of dials and bezels, the variant on the present watch being amongst the rarest. It is undoubtedly one of the most impressive representatives of this reference distinguished by its lavish yellow sapphire-set bezel and burr-wood dial. This extravagant time piece is furthermore preserved in excellent overall condition which make it a great collector's watch but also superb design statement for the collector of 1980's watches.
