CARY'S NEW CELESTIAL GLOBE ON WHICH are correctly laid down upwards of 3500 Stars Selected from the most accurate observations and calculated for the year 1800. With the extent of each Constellation presicely defined by MR [GILPIN] of the ROYAL SOCIETY. Made and sold by J & W. Cary Strand London Jan 1 1806 made up of 24 hand-coloured engraved half-gores laid to the ecliptic poles, with graduated equinoctial and eclpitic, the constellations depicted by mythical beasts and figures, the stars to seven orders of magnitude with nebulae, brass hour ring to north pole; supported in engraved brass meridian ring, engraved paper horizon ring laid on wood, supported on four turned wooden legs united with cross-stretchers.
