With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with rose or pink dial, raised hour markers in gold and tachymetre scale in 1943 and its subsequent sale on 31 May 1945. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe fitted presentation box and outer packaging.
This reference 130 is a highly attractive and very rare example of this celebrated model. Its desirability resides in the exclusive combination of the pink gold case and the pink dial commonly named "pink on pink".
A recent research reveals that only two other watches with the same configuration as this watch are known to exist with this rare combination of alterning Roman and small baton numerals on a pink gold two-tone dial.
The case has never been subject to careless polishing and impresses with the perfect satin-finish to the sides, sharp edges and crisp gold marks. The unrestored, highly charismatic two-tone dial reveals an appealing shine of rose-copper-finish. The hard enamel signature and scales are raised as the connoisseur would expect.
Furthermore, specimens like the present, with striking looks and where the Extract of Patek Philippe's Archives confirms the pink gold dial, are close to impossible finds.
