Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and applied white gold numerals in 1943 and its subsequent sale on 6 September 1943. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe servicing invoice dated 29 June 1999, invoice from a Swiss retailer dated 9 July 1999, Patek Philippe fitted burgundy presentation box and outer packaging.

The present watch is believed to be one of only six examples of a reference 1530 in stainless steel to appear in public to date.

Reference 1530 was in production from 1942 until the 1950s. An example in steel is illustrated in John Goldberger's Patek Philippe Steel Watches, pp. 160 & 161.
