CASE: arched case with spreading pediment, paneled front, the sides with volutes fronted by rosettes, on brass-bound base, formerly on ball feet DIAL: white enamel, with crossed minute track, signed GRANT Fleet Street LONDON No. 404, gilt spade hands, strike/not strike above 60 MOVEMENT: five pillars, shouldered plates, twin chain fusees with anchor escapement and strike on bell, secured to the case with brackets to the top and with bolts (lacking) through the seatboard and lower pillars, pendulum
