Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with tachometer scale in 1939 and its subsequent sale on August 15, 1940.

To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never before been offered in public.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 533 from 1937 until approximately 1957. It is distinguished by the elegant look of its Calatrava case with the typical flat bezel.

Reference 533 is illustrated in Patek Philippe by M. Huber and A. Banberry, 1998, plate 407, p. 264.
