The present watch is number 94 of the limited edition of 125 examples in white gold produced by Patek Philippe to celebrate the 125th anniversary of their retailer Wempe in 2003. A total of 125 examples each were also produced in 18K yellow and pink gold as well as 100 examples in platinum.

Purchased by the present owner in 2003, the watch has never been offered at auction before.
