Cal. 9''' heart-shaped gilt-finished jewelled lever movement, white enamel dial, Roman numerals, blue steel moon-style hands, outer minute divisions, heart-shaped case, heart-shaped bezel secured by three screws, hinged front with applied diamond-set initials AMW, hinged back centred by an applied diamond-set flower, cuvette numbered
22 mm. wide & 29 mm. overall length

Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present heart-shaped watch with enamel dial in 1859 and its subsequent sale on 5 August 1868. Furthermore delivered with a hardstone-set key and associated fitted wooden presentation box centred by a white crown inlay.

Consigned by a private collector, this watch is believed to be part of an exceedingly small series of such heart-shaped hunter case watches made by Patek Philippe, however all with varying decorations, rendering them unique.
