A GROUP OF SIX PEWTER-LEAD ALLOY PILGRIMS BADGES
NETHERLANDISH, CIRCA 1350-1500
Comprising: Saint Cornelius, patron saint of cattle; Saint Paul; Saint George; a pair of gauntlets; a triple roundel badge depicting scenes from the life of Christ; and a bust insign
1.8 to 8.4 cm. high
Together with a small pewter vessel, probably French 15th or 16th century - 4cm. high; And two pweter models of armoured horesemen - 7.9 cm. high (9)

A virtually identical bust insign is illustrated in H. van Beuningen & A. Koldeweij, Heilig en Profaan Rotterdam, 1993, p. 275, ill. 737. A comparable Saint Cornelius can be seen in op. cit. pp149-151, ill, 146-157.
