Circular box, the independent cover enamelled with a Swiss pastoral riverside view, in the manner of Jean-Louis Richter, with a seated couple and mountain background, within split-pearl-set opaque blue enamelled border, the sides and base re-enamelled in translucent purple over radiating wavy guilloché, the borders of the cover enamelled with opaque white foliate lozenges on light blue ground, the base similarly bordered with light green on blue
