Octagonal box, the cover, sides and base with engine-turned panels of zigzag-edged diaper pattern scattered with pellets within reeded borders, the lid centred with an oval reserve chased in two-colour gold with rows of floral palmettes, the side pilasters chased with green-gold central palmettes surrounded by pink gold scrolls, the sablé borders chased with palmettes, flower buds, scrolling foliage and ribbon twists
