Rectangular gold-lined box with two compartments and hinged covers, all sides inlaid with mother-of-pearl panels, those on lids and sides carved and engraved with fountains and applied with gold reliefs embossed, chased and engraved with Neptune and Amphitrite reclining against a rocaille ground with a staircase and fountain, the front and rear sides with mirrored birds perched on scrolls drinking from a fountain, the right and left sides with mirrored dolphins drinking from a cascade, chased gold cagework mounts, raised incorporated scrolling double-thumbpiece
