How to sell

A CAPODIMONTE (CARLOS III) TWO-HANDLED ECUELLE AND COVER
CIRCA 1755, FAINT BLUE FLEUR-DE-LYS MARK
Painted with bouquets of fruit in wooded vignettes, with a shell-moulded finial, gilt line rims, minor rim chips, a short hairline crack to rim, slight wear to gilt rims, slight flaking to enamels of one vignette
9 3/8 in. (23.8 cm.) wide

Specialist note

This form of écuelle is almost certainly derived from a silver shape, while the landscape vignettes are probably painted by Giacomo Nani.
