Sir William George Anderson (1804-1897) was created a K.C.B. for his long work in the Civil Service. John Evelyn Gladstone (1855-1945), a relative of Prime Minister Gladstone, became Sir John Evelyn Gladstone 4th baronet of Fasque and Balfour, co. Kincardine in 1926.
