A RARE EXTENSIVE RUN OF THE ROYAL SOCIETY'S OFFICIAL MEMOIRS. First published in 1830, they evolved from mere obituary notices to fuller memoirs, including the official portrait photograph of the Fellow, together with an example of their signature as well as a bibliography of works published. In doing so, these memoirs have become first points of reference for historians of science.
