Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with gold hour markers in 1953 and its subsequent sale on 4 June 1954. To the best of our knowledge, it has never been offered in public before.

Reference 2508 was launched in 1951 and remained in production until around 1960. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, 2nd edition, p. 204, pl. 328.
