Fateh Moudarres (Syrian, 1922-1999)

Purely abstract works by Moudarres such as this are extremely rare. There is just a hint of figures in this painting, whilst their outlines are kept deliberately unclear. This work gives an impression of the luminous effect of stained glass, another sacred borrowing by Fateh Moudarres.
