Algernon Hawkins Thomand, 9th Earl of Kintore (1852-1930).

Specialist note

It was the 9th Earl of Kintore who opened the new bridge at Inverurie on 30 May 1925 and not the 10th Earl as inscribed. The 10th Earl of Kintore succeeded to the earldom upon his father's death in 1930.
