Specialist note

Ian Douglas Montagu, Lord Inverurie (1877-1897), was the eldest son of Algernon Hawkins Thomand, 9th Earl of Kintore (1852-1930). He served as a lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion, Gordon Highlanders.
