The divided rectangular plate within a beaded and ribbon entwined surround, with berried-laurel and ribbon tied cresting flanking a central roundel and a tablet with laurel foliate below, the reverse bearing stamped initials I.A

Specialist note

Johan Akerblad was a mirror maker in Stockholm active between 1728-99. Similar mirrors are illustrated in Speglar by Torsten Sylven and Elsebeth Welander-Berggren, pp 244-5.
