The divided rectangular plate surmounted by a pierced foliate cresting centring a medallion depicting the profile of the goddess Athena below a wheat-sheaf finial

Specialist note

Johan Akerblad was a mirror maker in Stockholm active between 1728-99. Similar mirrors are illustrated in Speglar by Torsten Sylven and Elsebeth Welander-Berggren, pp 244-5.
