a collection of 136 microscope slides of a variety of subjects (including black rhinocerous horn), arranged in a box containing twelve trays of 12 cells for slides (8 empty), the slides carrying various labels: T. Mc.Gann (6); [Arthur] Cole (2); Watson & Son (10); A.C. Tipple (1); Stanley (3); N.B.S. (3); Russell (1); C.B. (1); J[ohn] B[enjamin] Dancer (1); [Richard Suter] 1; Bourgone (1); F.M.S (33), many dated to 1876, and (72) unsigned mostly attributable to F.M.S. Further to this (1) Stanley also carries a label for Amos Topping preparer; (2) Watson and Sons carry preparer's labels for Norman and (1) F.M.S carries a preparer's label for Norman. [including:]
