Cal. 3035 nickel-finished lever movement, 27 jewels, the black matte dial with luminous dot, baton and dagger numerals, luminous mercedes hands, sweep centre seconds, magnified window for date, in tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with screw back and screw down crown, revolving black bezel calibrated to 60 units, stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet, case, dial and movement signed
40 mm. diam.

Specialist note

Reference 168000 was available with two different dial versions, the printed luminous numerals without frame, such as the present watch, and the later style with the luminous material enclosed by white gold frames (see lot 268 in this auction).

The present watch is particularly appealing thanks to its charismatically discoloured luminous hour markers, now displaying a warm amber yellow tone.
