Ferdinando Carlo di Gonzaga-Nevers, 10th and last Duke of Mantua (1652-1708).
Giovanni Battista Rota, by whom sold on 12 October 1724 as a pair with lot 176, both called 'Tiniers Olandesi', with other works of art from the collection of the Dukes of Mantua to
Field Marshal Count Johann Matthias von der Schulenburg (1661-1747).
Bequeathed to his nephew Christian Günther von der Schulenburg, Berlin, and by descent to the present owner.
