The gilt-brass anglaise case with presentation inscription FROM MAMA/TO DEAR GEORGIE/SEPTR 1880, blued steel hands to white enamel dial, the single barrel movement with bi-metallic balance to silvered platform lever escapement and numbered 7891 to back plate; with red leather travel case
3¼in. (8.3cm.) high, handle down

A gift from H.M. Queen Alexandra (1844-1925) when Princess of Wales to her younger son, H.R.H. Prince George, later H.M. King George V (1865-1936), September 1880.
A gift from H.M. Queen Mary (1867-1953) to the Hon. Gerald Lascelles (1924-1998) and thence by descent.
