AN EMPIRE ORMOLU-MOUNTED MAHOGANY COMMODE

Although unsigned, this commode, both in the use of superior mahogany and sophisticated ormolu mounts, suggests an attribution to Pierre-Benoît Marcion (1769-1840), the most important supplier to the Napoelonic Court after Jacob-Desmalter.
