ORONZO COSENTINO (ITALIAN/AMERICAN, 20TH CENTURY)

One of the largest baseball related bronze sculptures known from the late 19th and early 20th century periods in the form of a baseball fielder reaching to catch the incoming ball. Sculpture shows the player in button down high collar uniform wearing baseman's mitt glove with textured base mimicking field of play.
